The world's largest single photovoltaic power plant project with a capacity of more than 2GW, completed in November

Al Dhafra PV2 Power Station in Abu Dhabi, UAE, was celebrated on November 16. The DC side installed capacity of the project is 2100MW, which is the world's largest single solar power station that has been built so far. It can supply 200000 households with electricity, reduce carbon by 2.4 million tons per year (equivalent to 470,000 cars on the road), and provide about 5000 local employment machines.

the project started in January 2021, grid-connected power generation in November 2022 and commercial operation in June 2023. As of mid-November 2023, it has accumulated 3.6 billion degrees of clean electricity to the UAE.

Al Dhafraproject, with a total cost of about US $1 billion, is a multi-party project jointly developed by Emirates Hydropower Company (EWEC), EDF Renouvelables and JinkoSolar Power, in cooperation with Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) and Masdar. China National Machinery Engineering Group is the EPC general contractor of the project, responsible for the design, procurement, construction and 2-year operation and maintenance of the project.

this kind of super-large photovoltaic project, in terms of design, construction, operation and maintenance, it is a big challenge for global coordination. Take the logistics of more than 400 million battery boards as an example, it needs to face various complex situations. Large-scale vehicle-mounted international logistics has sorted out the relevant key points here for your reference:

! Road survey, anti-seismic and cross-country capability in desert areas

! Protection Measures Required for Large Temperature Difference and Sandstorm

! Inventory and delivery management according to construction rhythm

! Emergency rescue, fault handling and other security systems

at the same time, the project related supporting is also very large:

3010,000 pile foundation;

3million sets of tracking bracket;

2000remaining cleaning robot;

8000multiple string inverters;

180box-type transformer;

15000multi-kilometer cable.

In addition to the various controls in the process of road survey and transportation, to ensure the safe transportation and delivery of the above components and equipment, it is bound to be inseparable from the digital and visual logistics management and control system. For large-scale photovoltaic projects, time and cost control requirements are extremely high, complex processes and massive material flows, each link needs to be accurately managed, and multiple participants need to be able to share logistics information in real time to improve collaborative efficiency. Although the big car did not participate in this project, it is also proud of its powerful peers.
